Mossley Hockey Club is looking forward to the start of the new season with high expectations. Hopes of a respectable finish in the league have been heightened by the arrival of several new players who will be pushing for places in the first team squad.
This will also help the 2nd XI team as they strive to cement a place in Junior League 1 following their promotion last year. Craig Porter will be coaching the 2nds this season.

However, the biggest boost has been the appointment of a new first squad coach. John Clarke arrives with impeccable credentials – an ex Irish international captain who represented his country on numerous occasions.

He has coaching experience with Belfast Harlequins and Queen's University but the highlight of his career was being appointed coach to the Irish international team. This represents a big breakthrough for Mossley and makes a clear statement of their determination to compete with the very best at the highest level possible.

All teams are well into their pre-season preparations but should anyone need a reminder of the training times they are:-

Monday and Wednesday 7:00pm to 8:30pm – any new players interested in joining are welcome to come along and join at the club's Glade headquarters.
