Newtownabbey's Lord Mayor, Nigel Hamilton and Newtownabbey Borough Council's Culture Development Manager, Ursula Fay, were on hand to officially launch the IFA's summer fun weeks in the borough. Steven Livingstone the IFA Grassroots Football Development Officer for Newtownabbey said "the courses are open to boys and girls and staffed by qualified IFA staff.
These soccer schools ensure an activity packed week with the emphasis on learning new skills in a fun, enjoyable, safe and positive learning environment”. There are two fun weeks this summer, the first in Ballyclare from 21st – 25th July and the second at the Valley Leisure Centre from 11th – 15th August.
