Aquaslide reopens at the Valley Leisure Centre

THE once-popular Aquaslide at the Valley Leisure Centre has been reopened.

Newtownabbey Borough Council was forced to close the slide in 2007 after water spilling over the sides began leaking through the floor of the pool hall and into the basement of the leisure centre.

The work to reopen the 70m slide is part of an ongoing refurbishment programme being carried out at the Church Road facility, which has also included significant changes to the car park and entrance gates.

The Aquaslide will be open for a series of 45-minute sessions on Fridays between 5pm and 9:30pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.

Entry prices start from £3, but family and Zest member discounts are available.
