Brave teenager chases burglars

POLICE are investigating an aggravated burglary in the Dorchester Avenue area of Glengormley on Friday, November 23.

At around 5.45pm a number of men forced their way into a house, pushing a female in her 40s to the floor and searching a number of rooms.

The gang, when had taken a sum of cash and gold jewellery, were chased from the property by the woman’s 18-year-old son. A man in his 50s and a woman in her 60s who were also in the house at the time were not injured.

Detectives investigating the incident are keen to hear from witnesses and can be contacted on 0845 600 8000.
