A NEW Mums and Tots group has started up at Doagh Primary School, Main Street, Ballyclare, on Wednesday mornings from 9.15am to 10.45am.

Group leader Samantha Bell is keen that all local families join in and engage in its activities.

“All mums, dads, grandparents and childminders with babies or pre-school children can come and get involved in for some fun,” said Samantha.

“The cost is £2 per family and this includes toast and juice. There will also be craft activities taking place once a month. We look forward to seeing you there.”

A number of local businesses have helped to support the new group.

“I’d like to thank Hillhead Sheds in Ballyclare for providing us with a shed, as well as Agnew Recovery in Doagh and Bingham Boilers in Ballyrobert” said Samantha.

“Also, a ballot was held recently to help with the group’s start-up and this was supported by local businesses - The Chop Shop, The Forecourt Centre, The Red Dragon Chinese, Cornerstone Cafe, Diva Beauty Salon, Fuse Hair Salon and Pencroe in Doagh.

“The winners of the ballot were Catherine Cromie, Wilma Strange, Chris Arnott, Ellie Nicholl, Mr R. Potter and Jade Scott.”
