Council to help unemployed

NEWTOWNABBEY council in partnership with charity Bryson and the Department of Employment of Learning is providing jobs to young unemployed people.

The First Start Programme, delivered by Bryson Futureskills will provide temporary employment for up to three people aged 18-24 for at least six months. The aim is to get people into work and those chosen will have been economically inactive and on job seekers allowance for at least six months.
