More trains on track in 2013

rail passengers can expect more frequent trains on the Belfast to Larne railway line in the New Year.

Translink has confirmed that a new enhanced timetable will commence on January 6.

An increased service will operate between Belfast and Whitehead. The majority of Larne line trains will operate through to Great Victoria Street Station.

Mal McGreevy, general manager rail services, Translink said: “We have steadily been making investments into our rail network, rolling stock and infrastructure, and this autumn, we launched free passenger wi-fi on trains and most Goldline coach services, as well as ‘Journey Check’, a real-time train information system for NI Railways passengers.”

New timetables are available online and passengers can also call the contact centre on 02890 666630. Printed timetables are now available.
