Schlumberger wins excellence award
NEWTOWNABBEY-BASED Schlumberger CPCB (Completions Product Centre Belfast), a global supplier to oil and gas companies, led the way for the Northern Ireland business community in a prestigious recognition scheme that culminated at a gala ceremony in Titanic Belfast on January 31.
Schlumberger, based at Cloughfern Avenue, picked up the Ireland Excellence Award alongside Bryson Charitable Group, which operates Bryson Recycling in Mallusk, and three other businesses.
Schlumberger is the world’s leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to customers working in the oil and gas industry worldwide.
Employing approximately 115,000 people, representing over 140 nationalities, and working in around 85 countries, Schlumberger provides the industry’s widest range of products and services, from exploration through production.
Schlumberger CPCB, which employs around 200 people, began manufacturing oil and gas well completions equipment in 1958 and today assembles and tests a range of products at its Cloughfern site before shipment to Geomarkets.
Congratulating the award winners, Alastair Hamilton, Chief Executive of Invest NI, said: “Global markets remain competitive so quality and innovation have never been more important to businesses, regardless of size or sector. This event recognises their achievements and sends out a strong message about Northern Ireland as a good place to do business.”
