THE winter edition of the council’s Source magazine is currently hitting doorsteps across the borough, and local sporting hero Michael McKillop gave a hand to get the deliveries under way.

The double Paralympic gold medallist celebrated his success at the London games with an open top bus tour of the borough and a civic reception at Mossley Mill.

Following a sporting theme, the latest edition of Source will give readers the chance to have their say on the council’s leisure facilities by completing the ‘Active and Healthier Survey’.

Every survey completed will be entered into a draw to win prizes, including gift cards for Chain Reaction Cycles, Halfords, Carnmoney Cycles and Zest Gym memberships. Theatre tickets, with pre-theatre dinner, are also up for grabs.

The issue also has a real festive feel, profiling the many Christmas events taking place throughout the borough as well as lots of seasonal features. It also includes an interview with Donna O’Connor, who takes to the stage at Theatre at The Mill in the ‘A Christmas Night with George’.
