X-FACTOR stars Journey South are looking forward to visiting Glengormley this Saturday (November 24) for the town's big Christmas lights switch-on.
The brothers were in Belfast last week promoting their latest single 'What I Love About Home', and they told Citybeat radio presenter Stuart Robinson they are hoping for a big turnout for their live performance here this weekend..

"Carl and Andy have told me that they are really excited about doing the gig on Saturday. They tell me that performing live to crowds is still their favourite part of the whole 'popstar' experience," Stuart revealed.

Stuart will host Saturday's event, which will also feature the Citybeat Young Star Christmas Tour.

Among the performers taking to the stage will be 13-year-old Jon Gillen from Carnmoney who is expected to sing the John Lennon classic 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)'.

"I've told them (Journey South) that the kids on stage will be performing Christmas hits and they've promised that they'll have something festive up their sleeves too. I can't say for sure, but I think the guys are perfecting their very own version of the classic Christmas hits by Slade," Stuart added.

The big Christmas switch-on will take place between 2pm and 5.30pm at Glengormley Fire Station, Church Road.
