I WOULD like to congratulate Translink on the provision of the new car park at Whiteabbey Railway Station. However, the original car park is still very necessary for leaving off passengers travelling to Belfast, especially school children in the mornings.
Since the opening of the new car park, building contractors have been using the original car park. Due to them parking commercial vehicles and drivers' views being obstructed there is going to be an accident, or worse still, a child is going to be injured. I hope this can be addressed in some way.
The new car park is an excellent facility, but not to the detriment of the original one which is absolutely necessary.
