School built on a Christian ethos
FOLLOWING the newspaper article in your paper last week, I took the time to peruse the content and indeed the feeling behind such an event for all concerned.
There can be no doubt that every individual party, the pupil, the parent, the school and the newspaper have their own views and whilst some have been made very public, others must remain professionally silent.
For Ballyclare Primary, we must allow the community who knows us and has had many years experience of the staff, pupils and leadership to have their own views. With this belief, we must move on despite the hurt and upset this has caused.
Ballyclare Primary has built its foundations on a Christian ethos and principles, and whilst to feel hurt is human, to allow this to develop into resentment is not biblical and not our way. Our pupils know and feel our duty of care each day and they are taught both at home and at school to live lives they can be proud of; to be part of a society which seeks to see good in others and to make positive contributions to this type of society in which we firmly believe. Romans: Chapter 12.
