THE 38th African Children’s Choir will be performing in Ballyclare Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, October 17 at 7.30pm, as part of their 2012 UK Tour.
The African Children’s Choir melts the hearts of audiences with their charming smiles, beautiful voices and lively African songs and dances. Their programme features well-loved children’s songs, traditional spirituals and rhythmic gospel favourites.
Many of the 17 young performers from Uganda have lost one or both parents to poverty or disease. But in spite of the tragedy that has marred their young lives, the children are radiant with hope, musically gifted and always wonderfully entertaining.
People are being invited to come along and experience a performance that shows the beauty, dignity and potential of each African child.
Tickets priced £5 each (concessions £3, family admission £15) are available from the Church Office by telephoning 028 9334 0302 or by emailing email@example.com
All proceeds from the event will go to the choir for the work of Music for Life - a charity that has helped educate more than 52,000 children across Africa..
A free-will offering will also be taken up during the concert, which will also go entirely to Music for Life to support its relief and development programmes in seven African countries.
