THE sixth annual Belfast Mela was launched by Miss Bollywood NI Kousalyaa Somasundram in Belfast earlier this week.
The festival takes place in the city’s Botanic Gardens on Sunday, August 26 between noon and 6pm.
Serving up a multi-cultural feast of music, dance, food, fashion, street theatre and carnival, the one-day flagship arts event features seven zones, including a world food market, a global souk, a health and sports zone and four stages showcasing over 20 top class international acts.
Visitors can also sample Thai, Polish, Spanish and Indian cuisine at the world food market, discover local artistic talent at the community showcase area, enjoy street art shows and even participate in traditional South Asian sports.
