THE one-day photographic exhibition held by Straid photographer Bill Abernethy last month helped raise more than £500 for the Northern Ireland Hospice.

The event, entitled ‘As I See It’, took place at Corr’s Corner Hotel on September 24 and was well attended, with guests including Deputy Mayor Victor Robinson, North Belfast MLA Paula Bradley, renowned artist Nicola Russell and hotelier Eugene McKeever.

During the exhibition, which featured more than 30 spectacular and moving photographic images, Bill raised more than £200 by auctioning off one of his framed prints and a night’s bed and breakfast in the executive suite at Corr’s Corner, kindly donated by the hotel. A percentage of all the sales made on the day added a further £287 to the pot, taking the total raised to £510.
