WITH just one day to go until the Mayor’s Charity Fashion Show, the countdown to the catwalk is on!

The event, sponsored by George at Asda, takes place on Friday, April 1 at Theatre at The Mill, with rehearsals and last minute preparations now well and truly underway. Joining the Mayor at rehearsals have been Gillan Cuddy, Manager of the Ballyclare Asda store, Sarah Moore, Ballyclare May Fair Queen, Eileen Boyd and Harry Boyd from the 50+ Plus Club in Sixmile Leisure Centre, who are all treading the catwalk in aid the Mayor’s three chosen charities - Allergy NI, NI Dyslexia Association and Sandes.

Speaking about the fashion show the Mayor, Alderman Bradley commented: “We’re getting really excited now about the event and it’s fantastic to have such great support from George at Asda and the local community. It’s going to be a great night and there’s still time to book your tickets!”

Gillian Cuddy, the Manager of Asda in Ballyclare added: “As official sponsor of the Mayor’s Charity Fashion Show, this is a great opportunity for George at Asda to support some worthy local causes, showcase our fantastic Spring collection and get some of our colleagues involved in the event.

“We’re lucky to have the current May Fair Queen, Sarah Moore, working at the Ballyclare store so we’ll certainly be taking some catwalk tips from her! It’s also great to see such a diverse group of models - from all ages to all sizes - modelling the George at Asda range. The collection really has something for everyone, and we hope the great value and diverse range inspires the audience to ‘spring’ into a new fashion look!”

The fashion show kicks off at 7.45pm and will also include other retailers from the borough - Joli, Bonita, Roundabout, Telfair Tailoring, Ernest Hall, Corsage and Naomi Bridal. Models’ make up on the evening will be by RoJo, hair by Karma Hair Design and photography by Aurora PA, who specialise in PR & wedding photography.

Tickets cost £12, with concessions £8, and are available at the Theatre at the Mill Box Office - Tel: 028 9034 0202 or online at www.theatreatthemill.com
