NORTH Belfast MP Nigel Dodds has produced a special souvenir certificate for local primary school children as a memento of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Around 7,000 certificates have been distributed through participating schools across the constituency over recent weeks.

“Along with my party colleagues at Westminster, I was keen to provide a souvenir for this national celebration and we agreed on the design of the certificate. It features photographs of The Queen at the start of her reign and more recently, along with photographs of local landmarks. I have had great pleasure in distributing the certificates to schools and we have received a great deal of positive feedback. The Queen has shown tireless devotion to her role and she is rightly held in the highest esteem,” Mr Dodds explained.

“The certificate has been very well received. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is a huge celebration for our country. As with Her Majesty’s Silver and Golden Jubilees, these are celebrations that people will long remember. I hope that this certificate will be a keepsake souvenir of this remarkable milestone in her reign,” the DUP man added.
