Stomp comes crashing to the Waterfront Hall
STOMP - the West End spectacular and global phenomenon - storms its way onto the stage at Belfast Waterfront from Tuesday, January 19 to Sunday, January 24.
Stomp is a unique, universal language of rhythm, theatre, comedy and dance where the junk and clutter of everyday life becomes the source of infectious rhythm and wonder.
Eight performers use boots, bins, brooms and everything including the kitchen sink to hammer out explosive feel-good rhythms!
Stomp is now fresher, faster and funnier than ever with new music, new choreography and a fresh array of ordinary mundane objects, onto which the cast work their musical magic.
In one of the spectacular new routines, paint cans are tossed between the performers, as they simultaneously build an astonishingly complex rhythm over every surface of the airborne cans.
In another routine, the Stompers are joined by inflated monster truck inner tubes, strapped around their waists. These create both a dance of bobbing, whirling rubber skirts and pounding, portable drum kits - the ultimate redefinition of ‘surround sound’.
Tickets for Stomp are available online, from the Waterfront and Ulster Hall Box Offices and by calling 028 9033 4455. Tickets for all events at Belfast Waterfront and the Ulster Hall are now also available from selected Xtra-vision stores across Northern Ireland.
