Pupils from Hazelwood Integrated Primary School recently took part in a ‘Spring into Song’ event at St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast in aid of Barnardo’s NI.

The event saw seven schools perform a range of music and songs in front of a packed audience. Hazelwood Integrated choir sang a range of songs including ‘We’re All Children of the World’ and ‘Down by the Laganside’.

Maureen Hill from Barnardo’s NI said: “Events like ‘Spring into Song’ depend on the support of schools like Hazelwood Integrated and the choirs had obviously put in a lot of work because the performances were outstanding. Barnardo’s ethos is ‘Believe in Children’ and all the schools joined together for the finale to sing ‘Don’t Stop Believin’, which raised the rafters. The whole event was such a success we’re already planning a bigger and better one next year.”
