A NEWTOWNABBEY girl has set the modelling world alight on the Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model television show, earning praise from one of the world’s most iconic women in the process.

Stacey Haskins was successfully selected from thousands of wannabe models and is now down to the final 13 contestants vying for a lucrative contract with one of the world’s top modelling agencies.

The 19-year-old will be judged by some of the fashion industry’s top experts during the ongoing competition.

The show’s presenter and head judge, supermodel Elle ‘The Body’ Macpherson said: “Don’t be fooled by the fragile exterior, Stacey has ‘fierce model’ written all over her. This girl knows how to wear clothes and her strength and fragility make her exciting to photograph.”
