MONKSTOWN woman Grace Fleming has been hailed as an inspiration for her tireless charity work - while battling breast cancer.
Grace recently handed over a cheque for £2,860 to the Pretty n Pink Breast Cancer Charity.
This is the latest in a long line of fundraising instalments from the 45-year-old who has raised over £13,000 for the charity over the past three years.
Grace has been fighting breast cancer and is currently undergoing treatment, but still chooses to put the needs of others first, fundraising with the help of family and friends organising raffles, shopping centre collections and nights out.
She is also behind the annual Carrickfergus to Monkstown walk which is attended by over 100 people from the local community who support Grace.
A spokesperson for Pretty n Pink said: “We are indebted to the fabulous effort made by our voluntary fundraisers, and cannot even begin to describe how grateful we are to Grace, and how highly we think of her. She is a truly inspirational force.”
Funds raised by Grace, and her family and friends will be used to provide practical support to other breast cancer patients across Northern Ireland.
