THE summer edition of the council’s Source magazine should be landing on the doorsteps of homes and businesses this week.

With the Olympic Torch Relay on June 3 fast approaching there is information on how to be part of this once in a lifetime event. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations are also featured, and they, along with the Olympic Torch Relay, will be the themes for the council’s ‘Big Party’ event at Jordanstown Loughshore Park on June 3.

With changes to the kerbside recycling scheme happening soon there is also lots of information on how residents can ‘recycle more at their door’.

The results of a recent council survey highlighted the ongoing problems of littering and dog fouling and this issue of Source has information on the latest council initiatives aimed at tackling these problems with the help of the local community.

Anyone who hasn’t received their copy of Source by May 21 should contact the council’s Marketing and PR team on 9034 0030.
