As WINTER approaches, a local charity supporter is urging ladies to give the beauty regime a break and ditch the razor to help raise vital funds for a cause close to her heart.

Doagh Road woman Patricia Monaghan has got together with a group of friends for the ‘Hair Dare’ furry fundraiser and is appealing to people to ‘get hairy’ in November in aid of The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

Men are being encouraged to grow their beards in return for sponsorship money, and women to not shave their legs for as long as they wish during these last few weeks of November.

Everyone who participates in the fundraiser will be treated to a professional wet shave by Peter Oliver Hairdressing or leg wax by the Pamper Zone at the Holiday Inn, Belfast on November 30 whilst being entertained by Big Spenda and the Divas.

Anyone who would like further details should contact glenno@muscular-dystrophy.org or telephone 028 9075 1497.
