MALLUSK Community Action Group (MCAG) held its first Easter Fun Day on April 1 at the Academy Club, Mallusk.
The event, funded by the Big Lottery’s Awards for All, included an Easter egg hunt, face painting, a bouncy castle, fancy dress competition, party games and more. It was well supported by the local community, with around 50 children taking part in traditional games such as an egg and spoon race and musical chairs.
Parents and grandparents were kept supplied with tea/coffee and hot cross buns, as well as traybakes made by some of the MCAG committee members.
A magic show rounded off the afternoon, and all of the children were given free Easter eggs.
A ballot held on the day helped raise £58 for MCAG funds.
The group’s Chairman, Richard Gregory said the day had been a great success, and thanked all those who supported the event.
