BALLYCLARE woman Natalie Brittle is set to go toe-to-toe on the catwalk with dozens of other want-to-be models for a place in the Belfast final of the Ireland’s Next Top Model competition.

The 24-year-old former Miss Northern Ireland competitor won through the last of six heats on February 9 and will now compete in the semi-final of the contest at Victoria’s bar in Belfast tonight (Thursday).

Natalie, from Ballycorr Road, is hoping to go all the way to the final on March 1 and win the top prize - a modelling contract with a top agency, as well as a professional portfolio, hair products and designer clothes.

Speaking to the Times ahead of the semi-final, Natalie said she was really excited about strutting her stuff on the catwalk.

“The owner of the modelling agency will be there and our task will be to dress to impress and to go up on stage and talk about what the competition means to us, what we have learnt and things like that. We’ll also have to do a walk and have a photo shoot, I really can’t wait,” she commented.

Originally from Leicester, Natalie moved to Ballyclare seven years ago where she lives with her partner, Alastair and their one-year-old son, Luca.

She is being supported in her bid to become Northern Ireland’s new face of fashion by several local businesses, including Diva Beauty Salon in Doagh, and Telfair Tailoring and Arlene’s Hair and Beauty in Ballyclare.
