JORDANSTOWN School hosted the first of its new monthly mums and tots group meetings on Thursday (May 3).

The meetings, which will take place at the school on the first Thursday of every month, have been set up so that children with a sensory disability can play together and parents can share and support each other in a suitable environment. The get-togethers will also give parents the opportunity to see the fantastic facilities and services the school has to offer.

The new mums and tots group is being supported by the school, Angel Eyes NI and the National Deaf Children’s Society.

Meanwhile, a Night at the Races fundraiser held at the Hilton Hotel, Templepatrick on April 27 in aid of Jordanstown School and Angel Eyes NI raised a whopping £4,600.

Organisers of the event thanked all the local businesses who donated prizes and auction items, and everyone who came along on the night and helped to make the evening such a huge success.
