THREE gorgeous girls from Newtownabbey are vying for beauty pageant success.

Glamourous Glengormley girl Jade O’Neill has made it through to the final of the prestigious Miss Ireland competition; Ballyclare beauty Natalie Brittle is hoping to be crowned Miss Belfast; and sultry Samantha Graham from Whitewell has her sights set on winning the Miss Bollywood NI title.

Jade, a final year Fashion Management degree student, was crowned Miss Armagh last month after winning regional heats of the competition in Newry and Dundalk. And she’s now looking forward to taking part in the grand final of Miss Ireland at the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin on April 28.

“I can’t wait for the final,” the former Miss Northern Ireland finalist commented. “I got to the final last year but I got a bit emotional and I didn’t get placed. I feel a lot more laid back this year and maybe a bit more confident. Hopefully I can hold my nerve this year and maybe even get placed.”

The 21-year-old Glencroft girl is being sponsored by Absolute Entertainment Ireland in her bid for the Miss Ireland crown. But she knows she faces tough competition from more than 15 other beauties who all have their sights set on the ultimate prize - a place in the Miss World pageant.
