THEATRE at The Mill has drafted in one of Ireland’s most distinguished sopranos, Virginia Kerr, to help celebrate its second birthday.

The Newtownabbey venue is marking the milestone in spectacular West End style, bringing together on stage some top class talent for ‘Magical Musical Theatre’.

Following last year’s sell-out success, the show returns to Mossley Mill with a sparkling cast of talented performers.

Directed by Ian Kells, the production boasts a catalogue of show-stopping songs and toe-tapping tunes from the biggest Broadway and West End musicals - some of the most memorable moments from Sunset Boulevard, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady, Hairspray, The Wizard of Oz and many more.

The show features world renowned opera singer Virginia Kerr, alongside top musical theatre performers Mark Adamson, Lesley Henry and Karl McGuckin.

Virginia has sung with many of the world’s leading orchestras including the London Philharmonic and the Royal Philharmonic. She has also appeared with the RTE Concert Orchestra and the Glyndebourne Festival Opera at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall.

Speaking to the Times before making her Theatre at The Mill debut, Virginia said: “Every venue is different and every audience is really important, so it’s great to have the opportunity to perform in different places and to be able to do all these different things.”

Magical Musical Theatre runs at Theatre at The Mill until Saturday, February 4.

Tickets priced from just £10 (concessions £2 off) are available from the box office on 9034 0202 or online at www.theatreatthemill.com
