A packed programme of youth events will be taking place each week throughout August at the Valley Leisure Centre.

The Youth Zone programme will provide regular Saturday evening action for young people aged 9-18 years.

The programme, which takes place from 7pm until 10pm, provides a great space to hang out with friends and try out a range of different activities each week. Sports will include indoor, 3G and bubble football, table tennis, badminton and hockey. A range of other activities will be on offer such as a climbing wall, arts and crafts and circus skills.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Cllr John Scott, commented: “We are delighted to offer a programme of sport and other activities on Saturday nights for young people across the borough, which provides an outlet for 9 to 18 year olds to have fun and enjoy their own space.”

Registration is essential and the registration form can be brought along on the first night.

Registration forms are available from the PCSP team on 028 9034 0000 or 9446 3113. They can also be downloaded from www.antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk/youthzone
