OVERSEAS students attending the University of Ulster, Jordanstown were welcomed to Mossley Mill by Mayor Victor Robinson recently for a civic reception held in their honour.

Speaking on the evening, alderman Robinson commented: “I would like to extend a warm welcome to our overseas students. It is fantastic that students from so many countries come to Jordanstown to study, adding to the wide variety of cultures we have living in our borough.

“I would like to wish you all good luck with your studies. I hope you are enjoying your experience at the University and that you take home happy memories of your time in Northern Ireland.”

The event was attended by around 80 guests, including 36 students, members of staff from the University and several local councillors and community representatives.
