Normally a 25th anniversary is celebrated with a glass of bubbly, however, in 2012, Weightwatchers is marking the start of its 25th year in Northern Ireland by making sure its 20,000 members across the region, including those in Ballyclare, Glengormley and Carrickfergus, join in the celebrations in the healthiest way possible - with bowls of nutritious porridge!

The hugely successful slimming and lifestyle organisation has partnered with Flahavan’s, Ireland’s largest oat miller to hand out the equivalent of 20,000 steaming bowls of oats at Weightwatcher classes across Northern Ireland.

Sales and Marketing Director at Flahavan’s, Mr John Noonan said: “We are delighted to be joining with Weightwatchers to celebrate its 25th year in Northern Ireland. The role breakfast plays in maintaining a healthier lifestyle and providing a great start to the day is vital.

“Flahavan’s is encouraging people not to skip this critically important meal and will be supplying every Weightwatchers member with a sachet of Flahavan’s Multi Seed Quick Oats to start their week in a healthy and nutritious way. We hope Weightwatchers members across Northern Ireland will lead the way in putting porridge at the top of their New Year ‘super food’ shopping list.”

The WeightWatchers ProPoints plan is based on the latest science which reflects the real value of food taking a more accurate nutritional approach and its impact on weight loss.
