WEST End stars Peter Corry and Alex Sharpe will take to the stage at Theatre at The Mill in Newtownabbey this Saturday (April 28) in Ki Productions’ version of the hit musical, The Last Five Years.
The ‘off Broadway’ smash hit by Tony Award winning composer Jason Robert Brown explores a five-year relationship between Jamie, an up and coming novelist, and Kathy, a struggling actress. Kathy’s narrative begins during the divorce and works backwards. Husband Jamie’s tale commences just after they met and moves forward.
Peter Corry has travelled the globe with his unique sound and timeless classics. His astonishing talent spans the great musicals, opera, rock, jazz and traditional Irish music. Peter works as an actor, producer and director and his next project will be as director of the Broadway smash, The Producers.
Alex Sharpe is an internationally renowned singer and actress and has appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Beautiful Game, Les Miserables and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Directed by Kieran Griffiths, the founder of Ki Productions, The Last Five Years played to sell-out crowds in the North West last September.
“This is a beautiful story - one we can all relate to - and an outstanding score sung by two West End heavyweights. The voices of Peter and Alex are worth the ticket price alone,” Kieran said.
The show, which starts at 7.45pm, contains some adult content and strong language and is recommended for people aged 16 years and over.
