A FAMILY Fun Day was hosted by Playzone at the Valley Leisure Centre over mid-term break to launch Toddler Eco Days, which will come into play today (Thursday, March 7).

The new programme will be held at Playzone every other Thursday from 10am - 11.30am for toddlers aged up to four years. A variety of activities will be on offer to encourage the little ones to interact more with nature and wildlife, while also increasing awareness of their environment.

Gayle Millar, party co-ordinator at Playzone explained: “Activities such as woodland fairy trails, pond dipping, mini beast hunts and butterfly walks will have the toddlers out exploring and interacting with the vast green space we have here on our doorstep. Crafts and other indoor activities will feature recycling and nature in line with the eco theme and of course there will always be time for play on the slides and the climbing frames.”

The fortnightly sessions with complimentary snacks and refreshments will cost £2 per child.
