Police have issued an appeal for information after a substantial amount of alcohol was stolen from the Sleepy Hollow restaurant.

The burglary at the Kiln Road premises happened last month, but details of the incident were only released by police today (June 7).

A PSNI spokesperson said: “We are appealing for any information regarding a burglary that occurred at the Sleepy Hollow between 10.30pm on Tuesday, May 24 and 9.30am the following day. A substantial amount of alcohol namely wine, beer and spirts totalling approximately £4,000 was taken from the premises.

“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone who has any information that could assist with the investigation to contact detectives at Antrim Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

“Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Please quote reference number: 278 of 25/5/16.”
