VISITORS to Mossley Mill enjoyed a craft fair and carols on Thursday.

Children from Hollybank Primary School took part in the carol service before the tree lights were switched on by Newtownabbey Mayor Alderman Victor Robinson.

The younger visitors were delighted to see Santa arrive by horse and carriage and a chance to visit him in his grotto.

The craft fair offered a selection of unique gift ideas and a range of food stalls was available.

Donations were welcomed in aid of the Mayor’s nominated charities - Alzheimer’s Society, Epilepsy Northern Ireland and Reach with over £500 raised on the night.

The Mayor of Newtownabbey, Alderman Victor Robinson said: “Despite the rain, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and got into the Christmas spirit. I want to thank the generosity of those who attended as over £500 was raised for some terrific causes.”
