A FIRE at a Ballyclare pub is being treated as suspicious, police have said.
The popular Ballyboe Inn, at the north end of the town, was extensively damaged in the blaze.
The fire was reported to the emergency services around 2.30am on Friday morning.
Geoff White from the Fire and Rescue Service said the first priority was to protect nearby buildings.
"Our concerns were about stopping it spreading and the efforts of the crews we were able to do that," he said.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
