Cattle cause road chaos

HUNDREDS of motorists were caught up in traffic chaos on the M2 motorway on Tuesday morning.
The busy route was closed in both directions from Sandyknowes for several hours after a number of cows escaped from an overturned trailer.

The incident happened just after 9.30am.

All the cattle were safely rounded up and the motorway reopened shortly before lunchtime.
