FILM-MAKER and author JJ Tohill is to premiere his latest film, 'Northern Irish in Hollywood' at Newtownabbey's Courtyard Theatre, Ballyearl.
This new film remembers local actors who became stars of the silver screen. It covers a list of actors over the first 50 years of cinema up to the mid-seventies all with Northern Irish connections.

It includes a look at local man Stephen Boyd who starred in Ben Hur - a film celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Boyd was born in Whitehouse and grew up in Glengormley.

For the last five years JJ Tohill has, between other assignments, been assembling this film. It is intentionally produced much in the style of a television documentary, with five decades of Hollywood on and off screen history seen through the eyes of the Northern Irish stars who helped to make and shape it.

This exciting night, in aid of The White House Preservation Trust, is set to take place on Wednesday November 11 at 8pm. Tickets cost £10 and includes a wine and cheese reception. Call 90848287 for tickets.
