A MAN has been rescued from a fire at a Rathcoole flat.
The blaze broke out in Ballyronan Park on Tuesday night (May 13) and a neighbour raised the alarm. Firefighters moved in and rescued the man from the property.
It is understood that two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus forced entry into the flat which was filled with smoke.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service's Geoff White, said the man, who is in his 30s, was being treated for smoke inhalation.
"They found the occupant and brought him to safety," he added.
