A FULL inquiry should be held into the recent death of David Layland at a Mallusk landfill site, South Antrim MP William McCrea has said.
Expressing his "sincere and heartfelt sympathy" to the 23-year-old's family circle, Dr. Mc Crea commented: "No one can imagine the grief a young widow like Carol is now called upon to carry. Neither can we start to understand the heartbreak of a mother or brothers of such a fine young man.

"The community stands shocked at this great tragedy and demands that no stone is left unturned to get to the truth as to how this death happened."

Calling for a full inquiry, the DUP representative added: "We must ensure all possible safety measures are being taken at the landfill site, especially in the interest of all the workers"
