TWO men have appeared in court charged with conspiring to murder a woman in the Rathcoole estate last week.
David Chambers (22) and Matthew Wade (23) appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court last Wednesday following an alleged stabbing at a house in Linford Green on July 7.

Chambers, of Castlereagh Place in Belfast, was charged with the attempted murder of 36-year-old Hilary McCracken. He faces further charges of conspiracy to murder, causing grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice by burning his clothes.

Wade, of Glenwhirry Court in Whiteabbey, was charged with conspiracy to murder, possession of an offensive weapon and trying to pervert the course of justice by destroying clothing.

Chambers was remanded in custody after his lawyer made no bail application.

Wade was released on bail of £1,500 until the case is heard again on August 6.

As part of his bail conditions Wade was banned from entering the Rathcoole estate.
