PSNI uncover 'drugs factory'

POLICE have uncovered "a drugs factory" at a house in Mill Church Manor, just yards from the Church of the Holy Spirit on the Manse Road.
On Thursday (November 19) officers carried out a planned search of the property under the Misuse of Drugs Act and discovered a number of cannabis plants, lights and heaters. They also seized a quantity of class A drugs during the operation.

A 36-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were both arrested for possession of class A drugs, possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of class B drugs, possession with intent to supply class B drugs and cultivation of class B drugs.

Both were later released pending further enquiries.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident on Saturday (November 21) police arrested a 20-year-old man at Ballyclare Road, Glengormley for possession of class A drugs.

He was later released on police bail pending forensic examinations.
