POLICE in Ballyclare are investigating an attack at a house in the Doagh Road area of the town on Sunday (December 21).
At around 2am a stone was thrown through the living room window of the property, and police are treating the incident as “racist.”

“The occupants of this house have experienced similar incidents over the last two weeks and have also been subjected to racial abuse,” a PSNI spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in the Rathcoole estate last Friday (December 19).

At around 7.20pm a man carrying a large kitchen knife and a baseball bat entered the shop in the Diamond area. He demanded money and made off with a large amount of cash. He is described as being 5 feet 5 inches in height and was wearing a black hoodie.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about either of these incidents to contact them at Newtownabbey Station on 0845 600 8000.
