THE sister of Rachel Tucker - a contestant on the BBC's hit show 'I'd Do Anything' - has appealed to the people of Newtownabbey to give the talented songstress their vote on Saturday night.
Mallusk woman Margaret Kelly, who runs Carbaret Cuts in Glengormley, has spoken of her family's pride at Rachel's rise to fame on the popular primetime show.
"The family are right behind her and we are so proud of her," said Margaret. "I spoke to her this morning and told her to treat the show for exactly what it is - a competition."
"She's a nice, down to earth girl but she hasn't got a nervous bone in her body! She's very confident in her own ability."
Rachel is one of the seven Nancys left in the show and is looking forward to another exciting weekend facing the judges Andrew Lloyd Webber, Barry Humphreys, Denise Van Outen and John Barrowman.
Margaret, who is flying to London for Saturday night's big show, has appealed to local people to support her little sister by voting for her to remain in the competition.
"At the end of the day it's up to the public - they need to vote for Rachel to win the show!" she added.
Ambitious Rachel went to London when she was 19 and trained at the Royal Academy of Music. She currently works for a company which employs out-of-work actors
Originally from Belfast, newly-engaged Rachel Tucker says she is completely and utterly in love with her fiancé. She is a keen painter and decorator and enjoys sport.
