AROUND 150 new jobs are to be created in Newtownabbey with the arrival here of one of the UK's largest soft furnishings retailers.
Dunelm Mill, which has more than 90 outlets across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and employs some 6,000 staff, is scheduled to open a new store at Longwood Retail Park near Abbeycentre this autumn.
Conversion work on the new building is about to start, which, when finished will see a modern, air conditioned store spanning two floors, with over 20,000 products for the home across several departments, including bedding, curtains, lighting, bathroom and kitchen products.
Chief Executive Will Adderley commented: "We are really looking forward to opening this store in Newtownabbey and bringing our value for money prices to the area.
"We are also looking forward to offering jobs to local people and welcoming them to this fast growing family business."
Recruitment of the 150 new employees is already under way for the new 34,000 square foot store.

This will be the third store opened in Northern Ireland since the Adderley family founded the business in 1979.
