STAFF from the Specsavers store in the Abbeycentre met with fashion and glasses guru Gok Wan recently, when he visited Northern Ireland to give an exclusive insight into his latest designs in the GW by Gok Wan specs range.

Gok said: “I couldn’t wait to get to Northern Ireland to show off my brand new designs. As with the original collection, I’ve looked to the past for inspiration and drawn style cues from the 50s and early 60s. Cat’s eyes shapes and coloured acetates take centre stage, adding a touch of vintage-chic to the discerning specs-wearer’s wardrobe.”

Siobhan McGoldrick, Store Director at Specsavers in the Abbeycentre, said: “We were really delighted to welcome Gok! Everyone was so excited about the opportunity to meet him in person and to get a sneak preview of his latest designs.

His original range caused a bit of style stir with the younger fashion set, as well as among people who bought them as a reminder of the great specs they wore when they were teens. These new styles are going to have even wider appeal so there is something here for everyone.”

The new GW by Gok Wan range is on sale for £99, including single vision Pentax lenses and scratch resistant treatment, and is part of Specsavers’ current ‘two for one’ offer. The 13 new styles have been available exclusively in Specsavers from Sunday, March 18.
