Animal medication stolen during burglary

Police are appealing for information following the theft of animal medication from a farm building on the Carntall Road near Mossley.

The burglary took place sometime between 11.30pm on Tuesday, August 16 and the morning of Wednesday, August 17.

Sergeant Trevor Aitcheson said: “A quantity of animal medication, namely Alamycin and Pluset, was taken. This medication should be used for animal treatment only and can be dangerous if taken by humans.

“I would ask anyone who knows anything about the burglary to contact Newtownabbey Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 291 of 17/09/16. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
