Antiques stolen during burglary

Police in Ballyclare are investigating a burglary at a house on Merion Avenue.

The burglary happened on September 4, but the PSNI only revealed details of the incident this week.

Some time between 5.30pm and 10.10pm thieves entered the house by forcing the patio doors. They removed a number of items including an antique silver coffee pot, an antique silver teapot, large silver plate golf trophy, three gold and diamond engagement rings, a metallic safe and two passports.

Police are appealing for witnesses and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a ‘battered’ white van in the area or anyone who could identify its occupants.
