Step out and support Hospice Midnight Walk

WITH only days to go until the first Lisburn Christmas Midnight Walk, it’s still not too late to grab yourself a place on the four mile walk in aid of Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice which takes place this Friday evening at Sprucefield Centre (Marks and Spencers) from 10pm.

The night is not to be missed with festive fun and laughter guaranteed for all who register to take part, as well as complimentary tea or coffee from Frankie and Benny’s, one of the event sponsors for the evening.

Andrew Cowan from Banbridge is just one of the many taking part in this unique for the Children’s Hospice. He comments: “The Northern Ireland Children’s is a local charity which makes a real difference to local children and their families who rely on hospice services. This event is a great way of giving something back to such a worthwhile cause whilst also enjoying a great night out with family and friends.’’

The target by the Children’s Hospice for the Midnight Walk is £10,000 and if met will ensure that more children and their families receive specialist nursing care this Christmas.

Lynn Boyce, Events Fundraiser is urging everyone to show their support by signing up to take part.

‘’This Friday evening will see supporters gather at Sprucefield, many dressed in Santa suits ready and waiting to get warmed-up with Christmas music and entertainment from 10pm,” she said.

“Don’t miss out on an unforgettable evening of entertainment whilst doing something really worthwhile for local children who need hospice care.

“Spaces are still available for those who still want to take part. You can register by calling us on 028 9077 7123. We will also accept registers on the night from 9.45pm onwards. Registration is just £10 per person and includes a goodie bag on the evening.”

Once registered, all participants are encouraged to raise £90 in walk sponsorship to help the charity achieve their target of £10,000 for the event and make a real difference to local children this Christmas.

Lynn continues, ‘’We understand that it is not always possible to raise the suggested sponsorship of £90, however we ask that participants endeavour to raise as much as they can to support Children’s hospice care in the local area.’’

To register for the Lisburn Midnight Walk on Friday evening call 028 90 777 123 or come along for 9.45pm to register.
