FIXTURES, fittings and equipment from Woodsides went under the hammer at an auction this week.
The Ballyclare department store, set up in 1972 by Herbie and Elizabeth McConkey, went into administration last year and closed for the final time on Saturday, November 26.
Since the closure, speculation has been rife around the town as to what will happen to the former family-owned store.
Following Monday’s auction it is thought the building will now be put on the open market for sale.
The Post Office and Chatz coffee shop are continuing to trade as normal.
